FAQ

WHAT HAPPENS IN A SESSION?

First question, what is the end goal for your images? Do you need pictures for your website? do you want to have fine art black and whites to hang in your home of you galavanting around Paris? Do you need a down to earth 'YOU" portrait because a media outlet has requested you supply them with images? Pretty much it's just you, me and my camera and I act as 90% psychologist and 10% photographer

CAN YOU SUGGEST LOCATIONS?

Absolutely! this is what you are hiring me for. Finding the best locations with the best light is what I do

WHAT WILL I WEAR?

Something simple! I can help with a shopping list or sometimes clients borrow from my wardrobe. Sometimes we borrow clothes from designers. Drop me a line and we will work it out

WHAT IF IT RAINS?

We will make it work! It rains often in Paris.  As in, almost every day.  Typically it rains for 10-15 minutes, then clears up to a bright beautiful sky for a few hours, then back to rain, and so on.

I will bring an umbrella for our session, so that if it does happen to rain, we can embrace it and turn it into more portraits. Otherwise, we can nip into a cafe for a quick drink until it passes.  In the event of a very strong and long-lasting storm (very rare in Paris), we can reschedule to another day.

HOW DO WE RECEIVE THE EDITED PICTURES?

All the edited pictures from your session will be presented in a personal web gallery with your personal pin to download the images in full resolution ready for print or sharing.

WHEN DO YOU RECOMMEND TAKING PORTRAITS?

For Paris, I recommend morning sessions.  The light is glowing and soft and beautiful, there are very few people out so you don’t have to fight the crowds, and once you’re done you’ve got the entire day free to sightsee or relax! Generally I start these at sunrise, though the recommended start time changes throughout the seasons.
